Hamilton Khaki King
He is a student of the School of Applied Arts in Prague between 1988 and 1996. He became famous by painting pink, April 21, 1991, with a classmate, the tank Josef Stalin (JS-2), erected on a pedestal symbolizing the liberation of Prague by the Red Army. This causes, in addition to immediate fame in Czechoslovakia, the diplomatic reaction from the Russian authorities that require to be repainted in its original color of the tank. ?erný is sent to prison and the tank repainted in khaki. But this servile attitude causes a reaction: the tank is immediately painted pink by members who take advantage of their parliamentary immunity for doing so. ?erný is released shortly after the JS-2 and transferred to the Army Museum where, finally green-khaki, he benefits from closer monitoring than in a public place. Among his works, always tinged with a whiff very Czech surrealism, mention his Horse (KUN) which since 1999 adorns the mall's Lucerna Palace, adjacent to Wenceslas Square, which represents the holy hamilton khaki king of Bohemia, Wenceslas, as it is shown at the top of Wenceslas Square, in an equestrian statue known to all the people of Prague, but his horse died, was suspended by the legs to the ceiling of the dome of the gallery and Wenceslas nonchalantly continues to manifest super sovereign founder of the country, sitting on the belly of his horse a little proud.
